Farm Internships

Internships are available for the coming growing season at the SAgE Student Farm in Woodinville, WA. Interns have the opportunity to receive education, instruction, and practice hands-on skills in varying aspects of a working farm including:
  • Small-scale livestock management (chickens, sheep, hogs, ducks - species vary seasonally)
  • Solar electric fence  
  • Renewable Energy Systems (solar powered cooling, biofuel farm machinery, greenhouse management)
  • Soil preparation, seed starting, and planting
  • Install and operate irrigation systems
  • Scale appropriate equipment
  • Season extension
  • Integrated pest management
  • Harvesting, packing & marketing produce
  • CSA, Farm-to-Campus, Food Hub sales
  • Community outreach (youth, community kitchen and food bank relations)

Optional Dates - 3 month duration:
May 15 – August 15  
June 15 – September 1
September 1 - November 30

We can usually accommodate special requests for early or late starts. Please specify your preferred start/end dates.

Compensation:
This is an unpaid internship. College credit can be arranged.*
